Just a few 5 TON ROCKWELL AXLE TIP'S from a friend:

STOCK CONFIGURATION AXLE DROP (PINION SHAFT) IS ON DRIVERS SIDE AND TIE BAR BEHIND THE AXLE

 THE CHUNK ON A STEER AXLE CAN BE ROTATED 180* DEGREES TO CENTER THE PINION SHAFT                         

OVER THE LONG SIDE AXLE SHAFT WITH OUT ANY HOUSING MODIFICATIONS.

 JUST PULL IT AND ROTATE IT AROUND

THE FACTORY KNUCKLES CAN BE PUT IN THE DRIVERS SIDE OR PASSENGER SIDE

WITH THE TIE BAR ON THE FRONT OR REAR SIDE OF THE AXLE

THE STEER OR STRAIGHT AXLE CAN BE PUT IN WITH THE PINION SHAFT FAVORING THE DRIVERS SIDE OR THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE TRUCK WILL GO FORWARD. THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE THE CHUNKS ARE A 4 GEAR SYSTEM AND THE UPPER PINION GEAR IS PINNED ON ONE SIDE (LARGE SIDE OF THE HOUSING)

HUBS FLIPPED OUT 87" WIDE

HUBS FLIPPED IN 74" WIDE

FACTORY STRAIGHT AXLE WIDTH: (WHEEL FLANGE TO WHEEL FLANGE)

HUBS FLIPPED OUT 83" WIDE

HUBS FLIPPED IN 71" WIDE
